Society News

As a society, we are always ancious to share news about our activities with our members. To facilitate this we have a number of methods for circulating society news & gossip.

Newsletter - The traditional method for spreading news about SRS has been a regularly produced magazine or newsletter. For many years SRS issued a magazine produced and edited every 3 to 4 months by a variety of club members. More recently, a newsletter produced bi-monthly by Jim Barlow G3VOU has proved to be very successful.

Friends of SRS email list - A popular method of circulating up to date news is by email directly to members email boxes. The society runs the "Friends of SRS" email list which is open to members & non members alike and who are interested in receiving information about Stockport Radio Society and amateur radio in general. If you wish to join the list please send an email to the society treasurer, G3SHF.

Society Blog - As with many societies, and not just those related to amateur radio, it is good for news of society activities to appear on the internet and SRS is no different. As you will see from the contest page, the G5O Contest Group already maintains a blog with information about our contest activities. Well, we now have a blog for the society overall.
